Retail & purchasing

The ways people can access and buy medical and legal cannabis differs across jurisdictions. In Canada and many US states, recreational cannabis can be purchased from retail stores and online. Other jurisdictions have less commercialized markets, with access from homegrow, ‘social clubs’, or more restricted retail sources like pharmacies.

How does the retail structure affect prevalence and patterns of use? Does higher retail store density lead to greater use? How do cannabis prices changes in legal markets? How many consumers transition from ‘illegal’ to legal retail sources after legalization?
